DRAW contribute a model to the 2008 Venice Architectural Biennale. - JUN.04.2008

The submitted model illustrates our search for design opportunities in a global city of increasingly tight margins, intense development competition, client restraint, inordinate regulation and elevated land value. In this instance a balcony zone, where floor space is unregulated and inexpensive to build, is seized upon as a design ʻmomentʼ.

An undulating metal screen wraps the rationalised [orange] mass of a speculative apartment building, inscribing a spatial field that is neither inside or out.

When Raff is not at DRAW he is either frantically studying for his Degree at the University of Sydney, at an underground 'Electronic music' gig in Sydney or blogging.
